Why Choose Henna Tattoos?

Henna (also known as mehndi) is a traditional form of temporary body art made from the leaves of the henna plant. It has been used for centuries in cultures around the world to celebrate beauty, femininity, and special milestones. Unlike permanent tattoos, henna fades gradually over 1–2 weeks and is a painless, non-invasive way to enjoy expressive body art.

From detailed bridal work to quick floral patterns, our henna is ideal for birthdays, Eid, Diwali, weddings, baby showers, and more.

DOs: What You Should Do

1. Keep the Paste On for 4–6 Hours (or Longer)
The longer you leave the henna paste on, the darker and deeper the stain will be. Some clients even leave it on overnight.

2. Let It Dry Naturally
Allow the henna to air-dry completely. Avoid smudging, touching, or cracking the paste.

3. Seal for Better Results (Optional)
Dab a lemon juice and sugar mixture over the dried paste to keep it moist and intensify the colour.

4. Gently Scrape Off the Paste
Once fully dry, rub off the paste gently with your fingers or a blunt object. Avoid using water to remove it.

5. Avoid Water Contact for 24 Hours
Let the stain oxidise and darken. Avoid handwashing, showers, swimming, or applying any products to the area.

6. Keep the Area Warm
Heat intensifies the stain. Try to keep your hands or feet warm post-application for better results.

DON’Ts: What to Avoid

🚫 Don’t Wash with Water Immediately
Washing too soon can weaken the stain and prevent it from developing fully.

🚫 No Soap, Shampoo, or Lotion
Avoid all products on the area for at least 24 hours to preserve and deepen the colour.

🚫 Avoid Scrubbing or Exfoliating
This can fade the stain quickly and damage the design.

🚫 No Chlorine or Swimming Pools
Stay out of pools and hot tubs for 24–48 hours — chlorine fades henna faster.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How long do henna tattoos last?

Henna designs typically last between 7 to 14 days, depending on your skin type, placement of the design, and how well you follow aftercare instructions. Areas with less friction (like the upper arms or back) tend to hold the stain longer than hands or feet. Moisturizing daily and avoiding harsh soaps or scrubbing can help preserve the color longer.

Yes, absolutely. We use 100% natural henna, made from plant-based ingredients with no added chemicals or artificial dyes. It’s safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. We never use black henna, which may contain PPD (a chemical that can cause allergic reactions). If you have any concerns, we can do a patch test 24 hours before your appointment.

Of course! Our henna artists are experienced in creating personalized and unique designs based on your preferences, outfit, or event theme. Whether it’s a symbol, name, bridal pattern, or something minimalist, we’ll consult with you before starting and sketch your ideas into a beautiful henna artwork.

It depends on the complexity of the design. Simple henna tattoos may take 10–20 minutes, while bridal or full-hand henna can take 1.5 to 3 hours. During your consultation, we’ll give you a time estimate based on your design choice and the number of areas you’d like covered.

Not at all. While henna is traditionally applied to the hands and feet, it can also be beautifully done on arms, shoulders, ankles, legs, back, and even the neck area. We’ll work with you to select a design and placement that best suits your event and outfit.

Yes! We offer child-safe henna services using natural, gentle henna paste. Kids often enjoy fun designs like flowers, hearts, butterflies, or cartoon shapes. It’s a popular option for birthdays, Eid celebrations, school events, and family gatherings.

After your henna is applied and dried, avoid washing the area for at least 12–24 hours, and don’t use soaps, lotions, or oils until the stain fully sets. Also avoid scrubbing, exfoliating, or chlorine water (like swimming pools), which can cause the color to fade faster. Keep the area moisturized with natural oils like coconut or olive oil for a richer, longer-lasting stain.

For best results, we recommend booking your henna 1 to 2 days before your wedding or event. This allows the stain to fully develop into a deep, rich brown before the special day. For brides, we also suggest scheduling a consultation ahead of time to plan the design and time needed.
